  • Develop and implement short-term and long-range diversity programming, including the assessment of such programs and services.
  • Utilize assessment data to drive decisions impacting the university, including faculty and student recruitment, development, engagement, and retention.
  • Work directly with search committees to ensure best practices are followed in sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and orientating new team members.
  • Develop and implement diversity initiatives that increase the support, retention, matriculation, and graduation of students at LSUA, especially under-represented (minority) students.
  • Serve as a liaison with Colleges, Departments, and professional units, to create strategies to support recruitment and retention efforts for employee and student diversity.
  • Create and implement communication strategies for trainings, web resources (internal and external audiences), and distribution of materials to support diversity, inclusion, and equity among various populations.
  • Maintain strong collaborative working relationships with key leaders throughout the community to foster mentoring relationships with students and collaborative relationships with faculty and staff
  • Compile annual diversity report card by collecting data to assess institutional effectiveness at achieving diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Promote anti-discrimination philosophy while educating the campus about the effects of various forms of discrimination.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for student, faculty, and staff grievances regarding discrimination counseling.
  • As EEO/AA Coordinator, this individual will be responsible for creating and promoting a workforce culture of equity and inclusion, ensuring compliance with all federal and state anti-discriminatory laws and regulations.QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 4-7 years working in change management, with preference given to applicants with experience in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
    • Master's degree preferred in business, public administration, human resources management, organizational behavior, psychology, or related field.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong public speaking and presentation skills which are essential for success in this role
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
    • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or other University employees.
    • Ability to negotiate and defuse conflict.
