Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This position is for a full-time Special Education Teacher serving students in grades K-12 at a school located in Kenner, LA. The role is contract-based for the current school year, starting as soon as possible and ending on May 22, 2026. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break, totaling 35 hours per week in alignment with the school calendar. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities in a K-12 setting - Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines - Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to support student progress - Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by the school district - Participate in team meetings and professional development activities as required Qualifications: - Active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certification in Special Education - Experience working with K-12 students in special education settings preferred - Ability to pass district-required drug screen and fingerprinting - Candidates must be currently certified and ready to begin immediately; no pending licensure processes will be considered Location: - Kenner, Louisiana Benefits and Perks:This is a contract position dedicated to the current school year with a competitive hourly rate.
