Mobile Cyber Security EngineerUnited StatesHealthcare ITOct 25, 2022Post Date22202498Requisition #Apply for JobShare this JobSign Up for Job AlertsCTG is assisting a client for a Remote Mobile Cybersecurity Engineer!Pay Rate: (based on experience)Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as the Mobile Cyber Security Engineer.The Mobile Cyber Security Engineer will be part of the Mobile Integration Solution Team (MIST) supporting the EHRM program with a specific focus on the cybersecurity elements around mobile devices, mobile applications, mobile technologies, and mobile security to integrate COTS mobile solutions to the new Cerner Millennium EHR.Serve as the mobile security liaison between vendors and various government stakeholders.Able to understand the Joint VA-DoD MedCOI security construct and the implementation of the VA's MedMOD for medical device security, to enable troubleshooting of implementation, and potential re-engineering of designs and architectures.A key resource to help identify potential issues / risks with the Authority to Connect / Authority to Operate (ATC/ATO) of commercial mobile devices to the secure joint enclave. Understanding of the DHA PPSM process is preferred.Able to build and maintain cybersecurity artifacts to support the ATO/ATC process. For example, the Mobile Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for creating or updating: System Security Plan, Plan of Action and Milestone, Network Topology, PPSM, Hardware/Software List, etc. Documents will be maintained as Microsoft Office documents and within eMASS.Analyze security reports related to mobile technologies (apps, devices, etc.), identify gaps, and provide feedback to mature artifactsProvide technical strategies and guidance for implementation of the Risk Management Framework to support VA ATO/ATC activities with the Department of Defense.Provide evaluations in the form of technical guidance, white papers, and strategy briefs on Cyber Security Tools, network topologies to senior leadership.Minimum qualifications:

  • 10+ years of professional work experience
  • Must have extensive IT experience in all aspects of Cyber Security with a vast array of IT systems involving end user as well as enterprise level networks.
  • Ability to think critically, work in group settings, and be proactive in pursuing research and problem solving with minimal supervision
  • Possess strong writing and communications skills
  • Possess working knowledge of core cybersecurity principles such as Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-37)
  • Must have experience with mobile technology to include mobile device security, mobile operating systems, and/or embedded operating systems
  • Must have extensive experience in Cyber Security Tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks.
  • Define, review, and enforce information security policies, standards, and guidelines for mobile operations
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional teams providing consultation on information security designs with focus on mobile devices and applications
  • Working knowledge of vetting the security of mobile applications process (NIST 800-163)
  • Must have experience in both cybersecurity and engineering of mobile technologies (systems and applications) used in a healthcare setting
  • Must have experience documenting a mobile solution under the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to obtain an agency-level ATO/ATC.
  • Must have experience with developing and implementing solutions to complex IT and cybersecurity problems
  • Must have experience setting technical direction, providing technical expertise, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders, teams, and vendors to develop an enterprise mobile solution
  • Must have experience authoring white papers, position papers, and/or recommendations for senior leaders (i.e., executives)
  • Masters Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline, or an additional 10 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirementsPreferred qualifications:
    • Experience in the VA
    • Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
    • Experience with deploying Enterprise Mobile Management solutions
