role, you'll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC) in
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where we deliver deep technical and
industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector
clients around the world. These centers offer our clients locally
based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and
adoption of new technology.As an SRE in IBM Consulting, you'll
serve as a leader in defining solutions for clients. You'll
identify insights and tasks that can be automated.You'll have the
opportunity to identify points of improvement in technical
processes and propose new ways to do it through automation, help
our customer to resolve their pain points and, through co-creation,
define solutions that allow improving the efficiency of their
operations.Your primary responsibilities include:Design, analyze,
and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.Participate in
on-call rotation, engage with product teams to fix production
outages, and carry forward action items to improve ongoing
reliability.Develop effective tooling, alerts, and response to both
identify and address reliability risks including automatic problem
detection and mitigation.Some travel is expected and all candidates
must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs across
the US. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and
training at the client site (Monday thru Friday). You are expected
to travel approximately 50% of the time. No remote opportunities
exist. Relocation to the state of Louisiana is required within 30
days of starting with IBM.Required Technical and Professional
Expertise3+ years experience with Cloud technology (AWS, Azure,
Google, and/or Red Hat)Experience with automation capabilities
across Cloud infrastructureExperience with Cloud migrations (AWS,
Azure, Google, and/or Red Hat)Exposure to Docker and/or
KubernetesPreferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseExperience
on Cloud applications and microservice development especially
around fault tolerance and resiliencyExperience in UI development
technologies such as HTML/CSS, JSONExposure to REST API development
experience (APIs like REST / RESTful APIs)Exposure to security and

compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a
full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary
depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay
increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with

hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during
