The US E&S Service Line is a vibrant and growing team covering: Environmental Science (including marine, atmospherics, terrestrial, and aquatics); Society & Engagement; Planning, Permits & Approvals; and Sustainability & Compliance. We provide a full range of environmental services with a strong reputation for technical excellence, innovation and quality of work within small project consulting and strategic advisory assignments through to large project engineering and construction management delivery. We have an exciting new opportunity for an exceptional candidate to be part of the USA Environment and Society (E&S) team to help serve our clients in both the Energy Sector and in the Louisiana/US Gulf Coast region generally. The position will be based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. You will have responsibilities for technical excellence and client relationships, with a particular focus on our energy client service line, working closely with the larger Worley organization. You would also support business development activities, working with senior leaders of the E&S team, by identifying clients and opportunities, and building client networks. It is anticipated that our Houston team will grow, and you will be positioned to help coordinate and lead our E&S activities. This new and exciting opportunity will report to the Regulatory Approvals, Permitting, & Compliance Practice Lead - Environment & Society, USA. Primary Objectives and Accountabilities of the Role

  • Direct and sustained technical and possibly administrative supervision over other professional engineers/designers/scientists
  • Requires application of engineering/design/scientific knowledge in all aspects of managing the work (e.g. planning, budget, schedule, procurement, construction, execution, etc.)
  • Assigned problems require new or modification of established frameworks, guides, or policies and application of these to draw conclusions Essential Qualifications and Skills
    • Bachelors in engineering, environmental science, environmental planning, or equivalent; Advanced degree(s) preferred in a relevant subject area
    • 8+ years of professional experience, preferably with an environmental consulting organization, an operator, contractor or regulator
    • Demonstrated commitment to HSE leadership
    • Expert knowledge in the environmental and regulatory issues associated with energy development and operation in Texas, Louisiana and the Gulf; air quality expertise a plus
    • A working understanding of the regulatory and governmental community (such as FERC, USEPA, USACE, state and local agencies) and industry
    • Excellent client and agency interfacing skills
    • Track record of successful management of projects / work packages to meet agreed budget and schedule
    • Technical reporting prowess
    • Preparation of proposals, budget estimates and schedules for projects / work packages
