Overview:Honeywell's Field Service Technicians are responsible for
effectively providing services to support the on-site installation,
start-up, maintenance, and operation of automation control systems
& advanced manufacturing software applications, drive systems,
manufacturing systems, industrial networks and the individual
products which comprise these systems. This person will be
traveling in Greater Baton Rouge Area- company car will be
provided.--Your Focus:You will focus on providing customers with
maintenance and modernization services on Honeywell's DCS
Platforms.-- The role requires you to be self-supporting and
includes on-site maintenance, performing system diagnostics &
analysis, troubleshooting problems, installing new systems &
replacing parts.18-month Honeywell Training & Certification
Program:----- Commitment of 18 months to obtain and maintain L3
CEAT certification while performing normal job
duties.----Compensation:--- Our current Field Service Technicians
earn up to $80K which includes hourly pay + Overtime (1.5 x hourly
rate)--Work & Travel Schedule--- Typical work week is Monday -
Friday (shift can vary) with ability to work overtime when
needed.--- Be available for off hour "Emergency On-Call" as
needed.*This person will be traveling in Greater Baton Rouge Area
up to 100 miles radius- company car will be provided.--Ideal
Candidate:-----Commitment of 18 month to Honeywell Training &
Certification Program while performing normal job duties.-------1+
year prior field service experience in supporting technical or
engineering services or Military experience in electronics programs
may be considered equivalent to this typical qualification.---Basic
understanding of networking and electrical theory.---1+ years of
experience using Basic Windows and Microsoft Office
applications.---Experience working with Operator HMI (Panels &
Touchscreens).---Strong written and verbal communication skills
must be able to clearly articulate messages both technical and
non-technical.---Ability to be self-motivated and willingness to
work in demanding environments with little or no supervision and
take initiative to be proactive.---Ability to diagnose
malfunctioning electrical systems and perform preventive
maintenance using electrical test equipment.---Experience or
knowledge reading electrical drawings and utilize for
troubleshooting electrical systems.As a Field Service Technician
you will:-----Maintain Honeywell's suite of (DCS) quality control
hardware and software and handle customer questions about the state
of the system.---Sustain proficiency in all products and services
that the company offers. This includes staying current with
installation standard methodologies, equipment protocol, and safety
guidelines.---Provide on-site pre-start-up, start-up, contracted
service work, warranty, troubleshooting, and training of Honeywell
products, and ensure equipment is operational and free of
defects.---Accurately document the work that is performed at a
customer facility and/or project staging area. Professionally
document work completed on periodic preventive maintenance as well
as intermittent corrective maintenance tasks.---Handle customer
service-related issues while fostering the customer relationship
and working to solve technical problems on site.-----Deal directly
with and communicate effectively with plant operators, plant
management, 3rd party vendors and other Honeywell personnel in
support of service operations.---Troubleshoot and repair equipment
applying own technical knowledge and experience to resolve
problems.-----Accurately document the work that is performed at a
customer facility and/or project staging area. Professionally
document work completed on periodic preventive maintenance as well
as intermittent corrective maintenance tasks.---Review product
prints and specifications.---When required, play an active role in
various projects such as upgrades, new installations, or new
functionality for customers.---Work with contractors to review and
ensure the unit/package is installed to
specifications.---Coordinate work with other groups to ensure
meeting commitments.YOU MUST HAVE--- 1 year of professional
experience in an engineering or technical field/and or Military
experience in electronics programs may be considered equivalent to
this typical qualification.--- Valid driver's license.--- Ability
to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.--- Must be able to walk and
stand 8 hours per day.--- 1 year of experience using Basic Windows
OS and Microsoft Office applications.--- Be able to perform
frequent climbing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting,
and grasping.*Engineering or technical fields may include field
service, technical operations, industrial maintenance, process
automation, heavy manufacturing, prior military experience,
development and/or reliability engineering, etc.WE VALUE---
Veterans.--- Bachelor's Degree in science, Technology, Engineering
or Math.----- Associates Degree in Industrial Engineering or
Technology.--- Ability to work safely within the Honeywell/Customer
HSE requirements.--- Commitment to obtain and maintain L3 CEAT
certification within 18 months of hire (Training is given to
achieve this).--- Experience with industrial process control field
instrumentation.--- Networking experience.--- Previous experience
working in a Field Service Technician position.--- Previous
technical/installation experience.--- Previous customer service
experience.--- Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills;
capable of learning available analysis tools to solve complex
