University Program Director - Bachelor of Business Administration

• University Program Director - Bachelor of Business Administration Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is seeking applicants for a ten-month faculty position in Healthcare Administration who will lead the University's Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program and its 3 active tracks (management, health administration, general business). Key administrative responsibilities include faculty recruitment and hiring, managing the program budget and promoting the program to various external constituents. Additionally, this faculty member will teach undergraduate courses in business and healthcare administration as well as other duties as assigned. The program director will hold the rank of either Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate on qualifications. While a 10 full-time appointment, the director is expected to maintain partial administrative responsibilities for a stipend during the summer semester. The person in this position must function in accordance with the philosophy and mission of the University, must display an appreciation for Catholic higher education and must demonstrate a commitment to diversity Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Director will have the following duties and responsibilities:
  • Works closely with the Dean and Department Chair on key administrative functions.
  • Maintains program quality through assessment of learning outcomes and goals.
  • Coordinates program and course assessment; developing action plans when necessary.
  • Develops and manages the program budget annually.
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring and development of all BBA faculty and staff.
  • Leads the BBA Advisory Board annually.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to explore/design/launch additional degree or non-degree programs for students.
  • Teach coursework in field of expertise at an amount consistent with the University's workload policy.
  • Assist in reviewing student recruitment strategies with the University's admissions office.
  • Contribute in service to the University, School and Department.
  • Coordinate with the University's MHA program to develop a 4+1 BBA to MHA pathway.     • MHA or MBA in a health or leadership-related field (ABDs will be considered). Degrees must be from a regionally accredited college/university.
    • Three years' experience teaching in a healthcare administration program or five years' experience as a healthcare manager. Preferred Qualifications:
      • A doctoral degree in Health Administration or a related field
      • Evidence of related scholarship or research
      • Active participation in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
