Central Region Medicare Team at Anthem is hiring an Executive
Director Medicare Alliance--to join its team in Louisiana. This
high-performing individual contributor will be responsible for
overseeing the execution of the alliance strategy as set forth by
the board of directors of the newly formed joint venture company.
He/she will work to drive alignment across multiple matrix
organizations to flawless execution and success. He/she will be
responsible for overall market results by driving a high degree of
collaboration across the joint venture partners. He/she will be
responsible for P&L and profitable membership growth for
Medicare DSNP business in Louisiana. He/she will drive the overall
market results. [This position can work from any Anthem office in
Louisiana, preferably in Baton Rouge] Primary duties to include,
but are not limited to:
- Effectively serving as a bridge between Anthem and its joint
- Ensures increased profitability for entire portfolio of
products and revenue optimization.
- Responsible for maintaining or improving STAR ratings as
- Supports network strategies, including expansion and narrowing
as appropriate, and engagement and contracting strategies.
- Success requires significant coordination of matrixed functions
to drive health plan performance.
- Directly responsible for leading the work around a successful
launch of the joint venture.
- Ongoing day-to-day responsibility for ensuring the joint
venture achieves its goals as laid out by the Board of Directors
including but not limited to all goals around growth, quality, and
- Drives success through improvements/changes to current
approaches/processes to drive results.
- Collaborates with shared services support to meet joint venture
- Strategy and execution specific to cost of care and
- Assist in the creation and execution of a sales and marketing
plan to support joint venture objectives.
- It is required that this position work from our Baton Rouge, LA
location. (Relocation assistance may be available. Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 8+ years of
leadership/management experience in health care management,
marketing products, and managing significant business results,
including 5 years in a managed care environment and/or 3 years
Medicare advantage experience; or any combination of education and
experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Highly
preferred experience: -Previous P&L and/or project management
experience in health care setting preferred. -Health Operations
experience preferred. Medicare Product, Compliance, and Network
experience are also preferred. -MBA preferred. -Excellent
quantitative, marketing, financial, and strategic skills
