Job Description:

Emergent Method is seeking a qualified project manager to oversee the tracking, execution, and implementation of several projects while also supporting daily operational activity, working closely with the client's project managers. This is a full-time, position that requires remote and onsite work in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Working closely with key stakeholders to understand client needs and the impacts of the project
• Maintaining and organizing project records and documentation, ensuring materials are consistent and streamlined where appropriate
• Planning and managing multiple complex projects and daily activities by applying project management tools and techniques such as scope, risk, communication, and change management
• Communicating to the management team on the progress of the team toward meeting the defined goals and objectives through frequent status updates
• Collaborating with and advising key stakeholders on status updates, project activities, and potential or anticipated roadblocks
• Managing project team members to ensure the team stays on track, working efficiently to meet project goals and deadlines
• Utilizing strong communication skills to present and communicate data, trends, insights, and recommendations
• Using metrics and tools to understand team performance and efficiency, and then taking actions to improve the team's efficiency
• Providing timely and quality work products to the client
• Serving as a trusted client resource and upholding the firm's and clients' reputations by remaining client-focused and committed to delivering above and beyond expectations
• Assess current processes to define recommendations for efficiency as well as process gaps
• Build-out new processes and procedures to support project start-up, assessment, execution, and tracking and reporting
  
  Qualifications
  
  Requirements for this position include the following:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in business or information technology required (master's degree preferred but not required)
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant experience in project management or working in a project management office
  • Understanding of agile methodologies (Certifications preferred)
  • Understanding and previous project management experience on information technology projects
  • Ability to both conceptualize and execute on a variety of projects
  • Ability to be a true problem solver with a willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and complete tasks and projects with minimal oversight
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to deadlines with ability to manage projects, deadlines, and deliverables
  • Ability to work with team members to develop plans and activities
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
