POSITION SUMMARY: Set and achieve the highest standard in all areas of store management including the employee experience, the customer experience, and financial results. The General Manager will oversee training and development of store employees and effectively address the needs of the customer, the assistant manager, and other employees. He/she assumes complete responsibility for the store and ensures all employees are performing their job responsibilities and are meeting company expectations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Identify, interview, and hire great crew members that represent our core values and cultureProperly train and develop crew and hourly managersFoster an environment of teamworkDelegate tasks to team and provide follow-up/feedbackHold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as neededProvide effective and open communication on goals during team meetings; recognize positive contributionsProvide timely and thorough performance appraisals and effective development plans based on defined goals and objectives for the storeEducate team on and enforce all appropriate personnel policies, labor laws, and security and safety proceduresAdminister payroll procedures and ensure employees are paid accurately and on a timely basisEnsure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate serviceEffectively handle customer issues; continuously improve mystery shopper scoresMeasure customer satisfaction and execute plan to improve both satisfaction and loyaltyEnsure product quality, store cleanliness, maintenance, and security standards are metIncrease comparable sales and deliver budgeted sales each periodControl cost of goods, variances, and inventories within the storePrepare profit and loss statementsCreate employee schedules that maintain financial responsibility and ensure an exceptional customer experienceEnsure proper cash handling and deposit procedures are followedEnsure appropriate inventory and ordering systems are in placeAble to work flexible hours as necessary to manage and operate the store effectively, including weekends and closing shifts as neededExcellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workersPossess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and cultureAbility to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused storeAbility to use a PCAbility to understand financial reportsStrong time-management skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organizeExcellent leadership and organizational skills with attention to detailProven track record of exceptional customer serviceEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Must be at least 18 years of ageMinimum of 3 years customer service experienceMinimum 1 year of store management experienceESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONSMust have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of (40) hours a weekAbility to stand/walk for 4-8 hours per dayMust be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in dataMust be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoorsMust be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer trafficWork environment: exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, other sharp objects, and slippery floors
