Job Description:
LEMOINE, a Great Place to Work --Certified company, is seeking
an experienced Safety Director to lead and manage our health and
safety programs across all our construction projects. The Safety
Director will be responsible for creating and implementing policies
and procedures that ensure the safety and well-being of our
employees, subcontractors, and the public.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee the company's safety program
and ensure it is in compliance with all federal, state, and local
regulations
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments on construction
sites
- Design and lead safety training programs for employees and
subcontractors
- Investigate and report on incidents and accidents, and develop
corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
- Provide technical support and guidance to project managers and
superintendents on safety matters
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety
training, inspections, and incidents
- Stay current on industry safety standards, regulations, and
best practices
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key
stakeholders, including government agencies, insurance providers,
and industry organizations
- Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and
clarifying safety problems, evaluating potential solutions;
implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers
and employees with regard to safety performance
- Develop and implement innovative Safety & Risk programs and
strategies that support our company in managing their safety and
compliance risks, in areas such as construction, safety management
systems, and risk management.
- Leads Safety Culture meetings with Trade Partners on a regular
basis.
- Ensure the company's safety program is consistently effective
and efficient
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health,
Engineering, or related curriculum or equivalent work
experience
- 10+ years of experience in construction safety
management
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction
safety standards
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to
motivate and train others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
- Knowledge of safety training methodologies and adult learning
principles
- Strong computer skills, including experience with safety
management software
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used
for inspections.
- Able to travel regionally by automobile when called
for.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a
computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
