Job Description:

The Medical-Surgicalunit is a fast-paced unit wherethe nurse willperfect time management skills as well aslearn to multi-task. This unit encompasses a wide variety of patients with many different diagnoses.The nurse will gain experience in management of patients post operativelyas well as management of pain and intravenous lines. The nurse willperform numerous procedures and practice many nursing skills while providing compassionate and caring nursing care.
Educational Opportunities within the first year of employment include: CPR, ACLS, Preceptor and Charge Nurse Training.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE,EXPERIENCEAND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, current LouisianaRN license required; 1 year ofNursing experience preferred; CPR required.
