Job Description PRIDE Health is seeking a local contract Ultrasound Technologist for a local contract job in Metairie, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Ultrasound Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 22 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract Pride Health is hiring a Ultrasound Technologist to support our client’s medical facility based in Metairie, LA 70006. This is a Contract & 22 Weeks opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Specific Duties: - Echo Ultrasound Tech with the ability to use ultrasonic equipment in various modes to perform diagnostic sonography examinations to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, functional and pathological data. - Perform diagnostic procedure, produce diagnostic images using Doppler, abdominal or another ultrasound. - Prepare preliminary ultrasound report for physicians, Keys in test data and patient information into computer to maintain records of test result. - Maintains and calculates equipment to ensure accuracy of results. - Explain procedure to patients so that they are well informed regarding the examination. - Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. - Assists with transporting patients to and from the exam room. Must have qualifications/experience: - Bachelor's degree plus - Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers or Ultrasound Sonographer - 1 years’ experience as a Cardiology Tech - Current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or must be registry eligible. - Current BLS. What does the candidate need to be able to do to be successful in this role? - Should be able to complete imagines using a GE Vivid IQ. Needs to be familiar with using Ultralinq software. /nLocation: Metairie, LA 70006/nSchedule: Mon – Fri, 8AM- 5PM, Hours per week /nFloat Required: Three days a week (Metairie, LA 70006, New Orleans, LA 70115, Slidell, LA 70458)./nWill they travel to more than one location within a work shift?
