Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/07/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Title: RN Med/Surg Location: Lafayette, LA 70503 Shift: 12*3 days, Nights ( 7P-7A), 36 hours/week This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice. Effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members; assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes; exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic and religious diversity in all interactions; maintains involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and the department's strategic goals and objectives and demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for his/her own practice and supports the company's philosophy of nursing. Education: Required - Registered nurse diploma. Preferred - Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. Experience Required: 2 years. Certifications: /t - Required - Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice. /t - BLS - AHA. /t - Preferred - Certification in clinical specialty area. KSAs: /t - Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications. /t - Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process. /t - Excellent organizational and time management skills. Because the incumbent works within a healthcare setting, there may be occupational risk for exposure to hazardous medications or hazardous waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning and/or disposal of contaminated waste.
