Registered Nurse (RN) | Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pre-Post Op Location: New Orleans, LA Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,226 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in specialty required License: Compact or state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Background in PACU or Pre/Post Operative experience - Previous charge experience is not acceptable - Travel experience required Description: Please ensure your traveler is aware of the following: Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or to be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract to take this position, you accept the above and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. You should not apply for this role if you are not comfortable with the above. The unit cares for pre/post patients undergoing cardiac procedures. This includes but is not limited to LHC, RHC, TAVR, ablations, TEE, cardioversion, loop recorders, pacemakers, and vascular procedures. Special equipment includes vein finders and bladder scanners. Candidates must have experience with specific skills such as accessing/managing ports, airway assessment, and cardiac arrest/CPR. Other required skills include pain assessment and management, starting and maintaining IVs, and medication reconciliation. Candidates should be comfortable working with adults and geriatrics. This position will not accept first-time travelers. It is mandatory to have NURSYS reports for RNs sent with the profile. Prior resources who worked as permanent staff must be separated from the system for 1 full year before returning as travel staff.
