ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in New Orleans, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PACU Job Details: • Work 10-hour shifts, either 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM (schedule depends on experience and will be discussed during interview) • Care for pre/post patients undergoing cardiac procedures including cardiology and cardiac procedures • Handle special procedures: LHC, RHC, TAVR, ablations, TEE, cardioversion, loop recorders, pacemakers, and vascular procedures • Utilize special equipment including vein finder and bladder scanner • Maintain patient ratio of 4:1 during day shifts • Care for adult and geriatric patient populations • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS • Must have 2 years of experience in specialty • PACU or Pre/Post Op experience preferred • First-time travelers will not be accepted • Travel experience required • Epic charting system experience required • Dress code: Royal blue or white scrubs • Must be available for "Emergency Team" assignments during facility emergencies • Must live over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted) • Louisiana or compact license required upon submission • NURSYS reports must be current within 4 weeks of submission Facility: This major medical center provides comprehensive cardiac care services with specialized PACU units focusing on pre and post-procedural patient care.
