Rapides Regional Medical Center, a 300-bed acute care facility in
Alexandria, Louisiana, is seeking a full-time Critical Care
Intensivist to join our established ICU team. This position offers
a block schedule, strong APP support, and full subspecialty backup
in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Employed by
Inhospital Physicians, the role includes competitive compensation,

Hospital: Rapides Regional Medical Center (part of HCA Healthcare)
ICU Beds: 34-bed medical/surgical ICU Schedule: Block scheduling
with rotating day and night shifts Coverage Model: Day: 2
Intensivists APP support Night: 1 Intensivist APP Required
Procedures: Central/arterial line placement Ventilator management
Intubations EMR: Meditech with voice dictation Collaborative
Environment: Close coordination with hospitalists and full
specialty support including pulmonology, cardiology, surgery, and

Physical Demands: This physician/APP role requires stamina in
fast-paced healthcare: prolonged standing/walking (8-12 hrs/shift);
rapid emergency movement (sprints, crowds); lifting/carrying 25-50
lbs equipment; pushing/pulling 100 lbs (beds/carts) with aid;
frequent bending/stooping/kneeling for care; constant reaching/fine
motor skills (suturing/IVs); occasional climbing/balancing;
tolerating stressors (temps, noise, fluids, hazards) during
irregular shifts/on-call/infection risks accommodations for
disabilities; varies by setting (clinic/ER).
