Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Lafayette, Louisiana. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 8 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg Tele /n/n Job Details: /n • Work every other holiday with weekend coverage required /n• 6:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends /n• 12-hour orientation period required /n• 24-bed unit with daily census of 24 patients /n• May be pulled to all other inpatient units (agency nurses are first to be pulled) /n• Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests such as block scheduling /n• Must participate in "Emergency Team" assignments during facility emergencies with expectation to stay until event passes /n• Care for patients with chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, pneumonia, hypertension, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, and syncope /n• Handle potential med-surg overflow patients including GI bleed, sepsis, CVA, and COVID cases /n• Perform pre/post cath lab care, PPM/AICD procedures, ablations, post-op CABG, post-op thoracotomy, and vascular surgeries /n• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, and heparin /n• Perform bedside sheath pulling procedures /n• Work with telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, and wound vacs /n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS /n• Must have 2 years of experience in specialty /n• Louisiana or Compact license required in hand upon submittal /n• Must be over 65 miles from facility (no local travelers accepted) /n• NURSYS report required with profile (within 4 weeks of submission) /n• Epic charting system experience required /n/n Facility: /n This medical center features a comprehensive cardiovascular and telemetry unit that provides specialized care for cardiac patients and complex medical cases.
