Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Alexandria, LA Agency: TalentBurst, Inc. Pay: $2,268 to $2,304 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with TalentBurst, Inc. to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Alexandria, Louisiana, 71301! Travel: RN - Medical / Surgical - DAYS Alexandria, LA 13 weeks SHIFT: 7AM - 7PM 2 POSITIONS START: ASAP Weekend Requirement - 3 weekends in a 6 week schedule On Call Requirement - None Floating Requirement / Locations - Required to float when needed Nurse / Patient Ratio - 5:1-6:1 depending on staffing Type of patients on the unit : MedSurg focus is on post surgical patients ie orthopedics and general surgery and focuses on neuro populations. EPIC experience is a bonus REQUIRED Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications BLS certification from AHA required RN License in state of employment or compact Summary : The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. Responsibilities: Meets expectations of the applicable One Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and families in accordance with their level of practice. Using the appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or care givers; identify issues and resources.
