Job Description:

Position Summary - We are looking for an HR Coordinator to handle a variety of personnel-related administrative duties including maintaining records and updating our HRIS. This role acts as the liaison between HR Management and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of employee inquiries. This position also supports our daily HR activities and assists in coordinating HR policies, processes and relevant documents. The ideal candidate for this role should be able to work autonomously and assist in more complex HR duties such as: recruiting staff-level employees, creating reports and maintaining compliance across multi-state entities. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our HR department supports our employees while conforming to labor laws and internal policies and practices. Required Education and Experience - Three to five years of work experience in the HR field Solid working knowledge of HR principles and practices Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge in HRIS systems preferred Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong phone, email and in-person communication skills Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects - Preferred Education and Experience - Construction industry experience preferred - Essential Functions Maintains accuracy within HRIS and electronic file system by ensuring all paperwork is completed and turned in timely and accurately Assists HR Management in coordinating company-wide initiatives, recruiting staff-level positions, creating training programs, and implementing employee self-service portal features Coordinates the standardization of personnel policies and employee personnel files, ensuring that files compliant with applicable federal and state laws Maintains and processes all Department of Labor Unemployment notices and potential charges in a timely and efficient manner Generates and creates reports from the HRIS - Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours as job duties demand.
