Serves as a strategic partner to management and related entities concerning human resource matters and assists the employment and employee relations staff in developing effective working relationships with department managers. Develops staffing plans and staffing mix that reflect the recruitment strategy of the organization. The Human Resources Director will lead the HR department team in developing a unit workforce plan, taking into account the needs and budgetary restrictions in each department. Serves as a strategic business partner in all human resources matters for all assigned areas. Monitors the employment process to verify that applicants are provided equal employment opportunity and ensures compliance with federal regulations governing the employment process. Ensures consistency and efficiency in personnel status changes, position updates and other employment processes. Verifies accuracy of employee database and position control/salary administration spreadsheets. Attends administrative meetings and provides consultation and recommendations to administration regarding the department's area of expertise. Serves on organizational committees as needed.
