Job Description:
A. SUMMARY: As part of CareSouth's medical team, the Registered
Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivery of clinical care and works
closely with an integrated care team including, medical/psychiatric
providers, medical assistants, other nurses, clinicians, dental and
support staff and other specialty services to ensure the effective
and efficient delivery of primary health care, treatment and
services to all patients.
B. RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Knowledge and understanding of Employee Handbook.
2. Carry out the meaning of the CSMD Mission and Vision
statements.
3. Practice a culture of safety to reduce or prevent risk of
injury, claims, loss, or liability by utilizing the Risk Management
and Infection Control Plan.
4. Perform responsibilities with a high-quality standard to yield
improved compliance, quality, and patient outcome measures by
adhering to the Quality Improvement Plan.
5. Be present and ready for work as scheduled.
6. Attend in-service trainings, departmental meetings, and
community events.
7. Work cohesively with team members.
8. Consult with and keep supervisor informed of clinic activities,
needs, and problems related to patient care.
9. Complies with established patient care standards.
10. Maintains established clinic policies, procedures, objectives,
quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
11. Administers injections which includes immunizations.
12. Orders needed supplies and maintains supply inventories
13. Responsible for proper dispensing of medications to clients
(oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal.
14. Functions as support team member for providers by reinforcing
patient education.
15. Assists providers with Chronic Disease management.
16. Communicate results of all procedures and tests to
Provider.
17. Discharge patient to receptionist.
18. Cleans and disinfects exam rooms after use.
19. Restocks supplies, linens, equipment, and checks for defects
and out dating.
20. Maintains positive professional relationship with
pharmaceutical vendors.
21. Participates in the preparation and maintenance of accurate
client medical records.
22. Greets patients, families, and providers in a courteous,
friendly, and professional manner - maintaining a good rapport and
a cooperative working relationship with physicians / practitioners,
other departments, and all staff.
23. Represents the organization in a positive and professional
manner.
24. Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical
business practices.
25. Maintains and always ensures patient confidentiality.
26. Other duties as assigned.
D. REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum BSN, with exceptional experience.
2. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
3. Minimum of a valid Registered Nurse license.
4. Minimum of four years of related experience or a combination of
experience and education.
5. Valid CPR license.
6. Be able to work independently.
7. Demonstrated ability to learn using Electronic Health Records;
must have strong computer skills.
8. Completes annual education requirements.
9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
10. Must have exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
11. Must be able to effectively resolve conflicts.
12. Performs all job responsibilities in full compliance with all
applicable laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
