**Summary:** Ouro Interactive is the newest Oculus Studio, focused on developing 1000+ hour multiplayer games on the Meta Horizon Worlds platform. Were a small, world-class development team where everyone is expected to wear multiple hats, and our goal is to deliver best-in-class games that we can be proud to share with the world. Were looking for a Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical vision for our next game, which will be cross-platform across Virtual Reality, Mobile, and PC. **Required Skills:** Senior Software Engineer - Ouro Responsibilities: 1. Collaborate with the Horizon Platform and Creation Teams in developing new features and APIs for the Horizon platform to unlock Ouros next game. 2. Build end-to-end backend and gameplay features for Ouros next game. 3. Build custom solutions that align with the Metaverse (e.g. Avatars, Common Identity, Integrity) that are delivered to consumers by launching games that use those features. 4. Work as a full-stack developer and gain familiarity in multiple coding languages as needed: e.g. TypeScript, C#, Python, Hack, JavaScript, React 5. Be or become familiar with multiple game engines: i.e. Unity, Unreal, proprietary engine 6. Be or become familiar with multiple 3rd Party Game technologies (i.e. AWS GameLift, Unity Vivox) 7. Gain familiarity of alternate hosting environments (i.e. cloud/corporate/lab) and help determine where and how they should be used 8. Support other Oculus game studios during break/fix scenarios and be part of the escalation path **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 9. Experience in learning new approaches, coding languages, and Meta specific solutions 10. 5+ years of experience in developing backend services for games and/or enterprise (large scale distributed environments) 11. Experienced with C/C++ or C 12. Broad knowledge of games and game development and/or enterprise scale infrastructure 13. Experienced with Python and / or PowerShell 14. Experienced or learn TypeScript 15. Experienced collaborating with team members across multiple disciplines to bring products to life **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 16. Experience working in major game engines (i.e. Unreal, Unity) 19. Experience as a Full-Stack developer in a large scale distributed environment 20. Experience with backend security, privacy, scalability, and persistence storage design paradigms 21. Experience in building user facing tools using languages such as Hack, JavaScript, React, etc. 22. Experience building supportable solutions that include proactive alerting, monitoring, and product metrics 23. Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc.) 24. Experience working with distributed computing platforms 25.
