Job Description Job Description Job Description CDR General Services is seeking a Aluminum TIG Welder near Franklin , LA specializing in 6G Stainless and Aluminum welding to join our team. This role involves precision welding for ship and boat building projects, requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Job Details Job Type: Full-Time Job Location: Franklin, LA Pay Rate : $29 to $33 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. (40–48 hours/week) Potential Overtime: Weekdays and Weekends Key Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components for marine applications. Read and interpret blueprints accurately. Tack weld, distribute heat evenly, and produce clean, high-quality weld beads. Pass MSB Pre-Employment Mock Weld Test and maintain compliance with company standards. Weld in all positions and repair defective welds as needed. Operate power equipment safely and follow all safety protocols. Maintain strong attention to detail to support quality assurance requirements. Accurately measure materials using a tape measure. Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly. Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in ship/boat building industry welding aluminum. Ability to pass 6G pipe test in stainless steel and aluminum. Ability to pass 4G plate test on 3mm and 4mm plate bend test. Proficient in welding aluminum and stainless steel. Strong work ethic, communication skills, and ability to work well in a team. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb stairs/ladders regularly.
