The Lemoine Company is looking for a Divisional Controller to help with our disaster division. The primary role of the Divisional Controller is to maintain appropriate controls and budgets that enhance the accuracy of financial reporting. Responsibilities include coordinating month-end close, internal financial reporting, establishing budget and forecasts, variance and trend analysis,ensuring accurate job-cost accounting reports, overseeing accounts payable and monitoring billings and collections of accounts receivables, and special projects as deemed necessary.

Additional responsibilities include making recommendations for improvements in operations, monitor and analyzing monthly operating results and controlling capital expenditures.

The Divisional Controller will maintain focus on supporting the financial needs of the Division while striving to drive continuous improvement in areas of need. The Divisional Controller has managerial responsibilities and reports to the Chief Financial Officer with a dotted line to the Divisional Business Unit Leader.

Direct Reports: Cost Accountants (Current), Staff Accountants (TBD-Future) Indirect Reports: Corporate Accounts Payable and Payroll & Benefits Administrator

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Maintains current Certified Public Account (CPA) license (preferred)
  • Strong experience in operational processes and controls, experience in Project Controls a bonus.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, developing and implementing strategic initiatives and leading large-system change that provide a clear path to delivery of the bottom-line.
  • Ability to fortify a team around a common goal and develop peer and executive management consensus.
  • Credibility to influence employees, peers and executive management. Negotiation skills with the ability to establish relationships in a manner that will inspire confidence and trust.
