This job, under general supervision, assumes responsibility for
clerical tasks which support and contribute the department.
Operates a multiline telephone console, accepting and relaying
messages to staff members. Maintains all filing systems.
Required - High School diploma or equivalent
Required - 1 year clerical experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
* Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data
entry and retrieval of patient information. * Effective verbal and
written communication skills and the ability to present information
clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
throughout the patient care process. * Must be proficient with
Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to
role and keyboard * Self-directed
* Performs general clerical and receptionist duties, such as
processing and distributing daily mail and taking accurate phone
messages (written and orally) and delivering to appropriate
person/section. * Provides excellent customer service within the
department. * Maintains all reports necessary for the department. *
Maintains organized record keeping and general office filing
systems. * Completes deliveries and assists with errands, if
assigned. * Other related duties as required.
