This internship works directly with the National Digital Services team members, providing administrative support as they work with Lamar Advertising’s national accounts (think McDonald’s, Budweiser, etc… exciting, right?!). This isn’t “one of those” internships - you’ll gain critical experience, and no one will ask you to get their coffee!

Position Purpose:

The purpose of the National Digital internship is to provide administrative support to the National Digital Services team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

The Digital Intern assists the Digital Services wing of our National Sales Department with, but not limited to, the following:

  • Communicating with local markets and sales support
  • Gathering, entering, and analyzing advertising data
  • Providing Proof of Performance (i.e. advertisement copies for customers)
  • Providing webcams
  • Gathering and organizing Glamour Photos (i.e. high quality photos for Proof of Performance)
  • Digital filing (i.e. Google Drive and Highspot)
  • Generation and collection of sales materials
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

  • Highly organized with a systematic approach to detail-oriented work
  • Comfortable working in a deadline driven environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work independently and act on own initiative
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with social networking platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be in current pursuit of an Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
  • Concentration in Graphic Design, Advertising, or Marketing preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • The primary work environment is an office.
  • The specific physical demands/requirements of the job include: lifting less than 25% of the time, reading, color distinction, acuity, sitting greater than 50% of the time, and talking.
  • The typical percentage of time spent traveling and spending nights away from home is less than 10%.
