Work From Home!We are looking for an extremely organized compliance specialist to ensure that our operations comply with legal standards, procedures, and policies that deal with Rural Development, HUD, Tax Credit properties, and Louisiana Housing Corporation. Your duties will include documenting and evaluating compliance activities, delivering employee training on compliance matters, liaising with government agencies, and working closely with a 3rd party compliance consulting firm.To be successful as a Compliance Specialist, you should be familiar with affordable housing income payments, renewals, identify problems and recommend solutions. You should also have strong analytical thinking skills, able to maintain meticulous records of complaints and compliance activities, as well as communicate effectively with multiple parties while multi-tasking.Compliance Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Consulting with the 3rd party compliance firm advising owners/leadership and management on compliance matters.
  • Developing and providing employee training on compliance policies, practices, and reporting systems.
  • Identifying, investigating, and reporting compliance issues, irregularities, and violations.
  • Tracking and responding to complaints.
  • Maintaining records of compliance activities.
  • Communicating with government agencies.
  • Preparing and filing compliance reports.Compliance Specialist Requirements:
    • Certified Risk and Compliance Management Professional (CRCMP) preferred but not required
    • At least 2 years of experience in the field of compliance.
    • Knowledge of laws, legal codes, procedures, and other relevant regulatory standards.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Documenting and reporting skills.
