The Product Delivery section of OTS is looking for experienced team members to add to our engineering section. Our teams are responsible for delivering high quality modern software for our partner agencies. As an architect, you will take the lead in setting the vision, standards, and direction for our modernization efforts across the State. We work in a fast-paced agile delivery environment, collaborating across teams to build software that enables State staff and citizens alike.The Office of Technology Services aims to be a responsible partner in delivering innovative, effective, and reliable solutions that support and enhance the IT functions within Executive Branch Departments. The Office of Technology Services will work to increase the return on the State's investment in technology by promoting smart decision-making, solving problems intelligently, increasing the rate of project success, and fostering a skilled and professional staff. An associate's degree in information technology will substitute for the baccalaureate degree.2. Other reporting relationships may be approved by SCS.LOCATION OF WORK:Division of Administration, Office of Technology Services.JOB DISTINCTIONS:Differs from IT Statewide Applications Engineer by the presence of strategic responsibility for directing statewide information technology applications solutions for an assigned program area.Differs from IT Statewide Applications Senior Architect by the absence of strategic responsibility for directing statewide information technology applications solutions for an assigned section.Examples of WorkThis position is within the Office of Technology Services (OTS), Product Delivery and is responsible for Application Architecture within the Engineering section within the Product Delivery division. The incumbent is responsible for directing the development of highly-complex applications using tools and processes according to the standards developed by OTS.Directs the development and design of highly complex applications in their assigned program area by:* Directs teams in a technical capacity in design, development, testing, debugging and documentation of new or existing applications within accepted standards, procedures and guidelines.* Leads the development of standards, procedures and guidelines for application design and development.
