The Louisiana Special Schools are experiencing a critical shortage of certified teachers, school counselors,interpreters and educators of the Deaf or hard of hearing. The LA SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking applicants for INSTRUCTIONAL INTERVENTIONIST This is a 12 month position, working eight hour days, located in Baton Rouge, LA. Qualifications Holds a valid Louisiana teacher's certificate Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, preferably at least two years working with special education students Master's Degree in education, preferred. Instructional Interventionists work with parents and classroom teachers to attend to the social, personal and academic needs of students who have been identified as at-risk of failing. Provides detailed documentation of student progress and develop supplementary education that serves as a companion to the general curriculum.
