Schools are experiencing a critical shortage of certified teachers,
school counselors,interpreters and educators of the Deaf or hard of
hearing. The LA SPECIAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking applicants for
INSTRUCTIONAL INTERVENTIONIST This is a 12 month position, working
eight hour days, located in Baton Rouge, LA. The Louisiana Special

valid Louisiana teacher's certificate Minimum of 3 years teaching
experience, preferably at least two years working with special
education students Master's Degree in education, preferred. Job
Concepts The Instructional Interventionistprovides special
direction to students who have been given an Individualized
Education Program (I.E.P.) Instructional Interventionists work with
parents and classroom teachers to attend to the social, personal
and academic needs of students who have been identified as at-risk
of failing. Provides detailed documentation of student progress and
develop supplementary education that serves as a companion to the
general curriculum. Provides assessment of student potential and
recommendations for further services. Creates a flexible program
and classroom environment favorable to student learning and
