The Contract/Grants Reviewer 1 (pay grade level AS-611) has a minimum salary of $1,200.80/bi-weekly; $2,602.00/monthly. The Contract/Grants Reviewer 2 (pay grade level AS-612) has a minimum salary of $1,284.80/bi-weekly; $2,784.00/monthly. The Contract/Grants Reviewer 3 (pay grade level AS-614) has a minimum salary of $1,470.40/bi-weekly; $3,186.00/monthly. The Contract/Grants Reviewer 4 (pay grade level AS-615) has a minimum salary of $1,573.60/bi-weekly; $3,410.00/monthly. Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A baccalaureate degree. SUBSTITUTIONS: Six years of full-time work experience in any field may be substituted for the required baccalaureate degree. Candidates without a baccalaureate degree may combine work experience and college credit to substitute for the baccalaureate degree as follows: A maximum of 120 semester hours may be combined with experience to substitute for the baccalaureate degree. 30 to 59 semester hours credit will substitute for one year of experience towards the baccalaureate degree. 60 to 89 semester hours credit will substitute for two years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree. 90 to 119 semester hours credit will substitute for three years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree. 120 or more semester hours credit will substitute for four years of experience towards the baccalaureate degree. College credit earned without obtaining a baccalaureate degree may be substituted for a maximum of four years full-time work experience towards the baccalaureate degree. Candidates with 120 or more semester hours of credit, but without a degree, must also have at least two years of full-time work experience to substitute for the baccalaureate degree. NOTE: Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university. Job Concepts Function of Work: To provide contract and/or grant management services. Level of Work: Entry. Supervision Received: Close supervision from the Contracts/Grants Supervisor or Manager or other equivalent classified or unclassified administrator. Supervision Exercised: None. Location of Work: May be used by all state agencies. Job Distinctions: Differs from Contracts/Grants Reviewer 2 by performing routine entry level duties. Examples of Work Tasks performed are at the entry level: Prepares, develops, and monitors routine and less complex contracts and/or grants agreements, applications, budgets, amendments and sub-grant agreements in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements and departmental policies and procedures. Works with administrators, officials, and other personnel to solve contract problems. Maintains records, prepares reports and/or correspondence relative to contracts and/or grants. Provides assistance to program personnel in preparation of grants proposals or contracts agreements. Reviews reports and records to ensure costs claimed are allowable, and to ensure contract/grant is on schedule and terms are being met. Assists in the preparation of RFPs (Requests for Proposals). Tracks the approval process of contracts/grants ensuring all necessary approvals are received. Researches grant awards and state appropriation budgets to make sure that funds are available. Obtains and reviews performance evaluations after completion of a project to comply with state law within established time limits. Performs original entries, reconciliations, and all adjustments to grants management accounting records.
