Our culture is defined by our commitment to excellence and investment in our employee's growth and development Due to continued growth, our Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Mid Level Electrical Engineer in our Baton Rouge, LA--office Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):

• Coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines
• Directs and oversee routine and advanced technical work performed by others on assigned projects and maintains quality standards of all assigned projects
• Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and calculations prepared by other engineers or subcontractors
• Prepares design studies, project scopes and engineering estimates
• Manages budget, scope, schedule, and quality associated with the designated work assignment with minimal guidance and technical oversight
• Prepares electrical equipment procurement and installation specifications and can evaluate technical bids and select equipment
• Devises new approaches to technical problems.
• Broad knowledge of precedents in the industry Required Qualifications/Required Skills:
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum 6+ years' experience
  • Understand roles played by other disciplines on the project and is able to coordinate and interface with other engineering disciplines
  • Experience in electrical codes, standards and criteria
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
  • Good writing, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
  • Must be able to traverse stairs and ladders at client sites
  • Must be able to traverse client sites to conduct walkabouts
  • Must be able to work outside at client sites in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to travel between 15-25% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending-- on project and client needs Preferred Qualifications/Preferred Skills:
    • Prior power system design experience at power plants or utility substations
    • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of electrical calculations
    • Experience with Electrical analysis software such as ETAP or SKM Employment requirement:
      • Ability to pass a pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) according to company and client procedures
      • Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites.
