Overtime opportunities are also available for this position! -Position Purpose:The purpose of the Production Support Technician is to support the silk screen printing process by producing films, mixing colors, and registering screens.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Pulling print schedules, printing or pulling films, sheeting blanks, washing and coating - screens, burning films, and stretching screens.
  • Conduct quality checks, touch up and repairs, labeling, boxing and shipping
  • Ensure all safety and housekeeping rules are adhered to.
  • Assist in maintaining shop machinery and equipment.Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
    • Read and follow directions.
    • Safely handle various chemicals.
    • Ability to follow best work practices to ensure compliance to all safety and environmental regulations.
    • Good vision (able to design visually with the proficiency to distinguish color patterns and identify good use of color).
    • Communicate effectively both written and orally with excellent organizational and detail oriented skills.
    • PC and systems proficiency.
    • Use hand and power tools including gas or diesel operated equipment.
    • Familiarity with MSDS and personal protection and working knowledge of IWS and FA - equipment.Education and Experience Requirements:
      • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
      • 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
      • Forklift and Manlift Certification preferredPhysical Demands and Work Environment:
        • The primary work environment is a shop. Shop is climate controlled but may be required - to work outside and in other areas during periods of extreme temperatures.
        • The physical demands include moderate lifting (up to 75 pounds), pushing, reaching, - seeing (with a focus in reading, color distinction, acuity, depth perception, and peripheral - vision), sitting less than 50% of the time, standing, stooping, talking, turning, walking, - and climbing.
