Join us and make your passion your profession!Position OverviewThe RGM Analyst II, Pricing & Promotion, will support the creation and implementation of a net price realization strategy and approach that maximizes total value creation within Community Coffee's Grocery, Foodservice and E-Commerce business units. This role will support all revenue management aspects and recommendations for the entire product portfolio, including pack type pricing and promotional strategy, investment recommendations and tactical promotional analytics and optimization, all in support of achieving Community Coffee's Annual Operating and Five-Year Strategic plans. Duties will include executing complex analyses that enable the development of insights-based, consumer-centric recommendations on strategic pricing and promotion, price/pack architecture, and mix-driving initiatives.The role requires personal leadership and initiative, critical and strategic thinking, ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, strong customer/channel knowledge, and strong business and financial acumen. You must also be an eager and proficient collaborator with other functions including Commercial Planning, Marketing, Sales, Category Management, Insights and Finance. May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.Function Related Activities/Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms most tasks independently, some with minimum to moderate level of Manager supervision.Operational PricingPrepares complex and comprehensive analyses to support the development of pricing action and strategy recommendations that drive value creation and deliver on Community Coffee brand business objectivesAssists in identification of optimal pack/price slopes and probable consumer price outcomesAssists in investigation and creation of new packs to address channel and/or occasion-based white-space opportunitiesDevelops proforma financial models upon request to evaluate Sales-proposed activityPromotional Strategy & ExecutionAssists in identification of ideal frequency, depth, duration and consumer price point targets (SRPs) to achieve desired outcomesEvaluates effectiveness of macro and customer-specific promotion activitiesSupports partnership with Sales and Finance to ensure trade investment by channel and customer enables achievement of financial and share objectivesCategory Price ManagementAssists in the evaluation of competitor pricing strategies and analyzes impact to Community Coffee brands, developing recommendations to address business impactsAssists in analysis of Community Coffee brand price positioning and impact of price gaps to optimize pricing vs. competitionMonitors in-market pricing to proactively identify and mitigate marketplace disruption, revenue and share riskPlanning/Forecasting/ReportingSupports Sales team revenue forecast build (volume, price, trade) and accuracy within supporting forecasting and trade management systemsProvides content supporting team routines measuring key topline Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - volume, price/mix, revenue and share driversAssists with the creation of the customer/channel net revenue planAssists in the development and execution of performance management processes, including standard KPI reporting for planning and business review purposesPosition RequirementsBachelors degree in Business or related analytics discipline; MBA a plusFamiliarity with CPG/FMCG, retail grocery/foodservice industry customer base and working knowledge of on-premises merchandising and execution tactics preferredVery strong technical skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), with proven ability to synthesize multiple data sources (e.g., internal TPM and P data, 3rd party syndicated data)Strong working knowledge of SAP is a plusWhat We're Looking ForStrong analytical, collaboration, presentation and communication skillsStrong business / financial acumenExhibits subject matter expertise and command; ability to influence up and across the organizationAble to bring together multiple functions to achieve results and drive recommendations with Senior ManagementProblem-solving mentality, intellectually curious, and strong critical thinking skillsEntrepreneurial skills and style; self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced and changing environmentAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneouslyPhysical Demands/Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
