Job Description:

The Service Tech position with Holland Pump is considered a very important role within the company. The Service Tech is the front line contact to our customers presenting to our customers all the benefits and quality equipment that Holland Pump promises to deliver. The Service Tech will maintain a clean driving record while employed at Holland Pump by exercising safe driving habits with care and regard for others and the company vehicle. The position requires mechanical ability and physical stamina while maintaining good sense and safe judgment as well as having the ability to communicate well to our customers upon a service call, delivery or pick-up. The position also requires that the individual is flexible in nature as the daily task assignments can change often. The position requires a daily work schedule that can occasionally lead to long days with overtime necessary to complete the tasks at hand. The Service Tech will report directly to the Service Manager. This position has many duties and a high responsibility factor as outlined.
One of the main duties of the Service Tech is to deliver and set up, with customer assistance, Holland rental pumps. This will include properly instructing the customer on the equipment operation and being able to intelligently answer their questions or at least get the answers for them. This will be attained through continued training and testing throughout employment.
The break down and pick up of the rental equipment with customer assistance. It is the Service Techs responsibility to account for, determine the condition and return all rental equipment to the branch following a standard procedure and written documentation on our pick up tickets.
Daily on site service calls to diagnose and repair minor service issues following a standard response procedure. The Service Techs duties also includes a 24/7 emergency on call service that is assigned by a schedule determined by the Service Manager.
Included in the Service Tech compensation plan, Holland Pump pays an addition to the hourly wage to maintain a required list of tools and the Service Tech is expected to continuously advance the inventory of tools to help him/her do the job more effectively.
Good housekeeping and organizational habits are necessary to maintain the orderliness of the branch shop and grounds. All company vehicles must maintained clean and in safe mechanical operating condition. From time to time there will be general labor tasks assigned such as grounds maintenance, yard organization or basic shop cleaning.
