And we'll do it with the utmost integrity, and in an environment where everyone is seen, heard and feels like they belong.Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together.**Job Title:** **Analyst - Payment Vendor Relations****Description:**The Global Merchant Services - Payment Vendor Relations team is seeking a high performing individual who will be responsible for establishing and deepening relationships with Transaction Processing Vendors. These vendors include POS manufacturers, Integrated Payments Providers and Value Added Resellers.This individual will focus on new payment form factors (Debit, SoftPOS, QR Code, EMV, etc) that are being introduced in multiple global markets. The role includes proactive work streams related to recruiting and developing relationships with vendors that facilitate processing of AMEX transactions. The reactive work streams in the role include issue circumvention, research, analysis and consultation. The successful candidate will be required to work with Technology, Network & Acquirer Services, Global Merchant Services, other internal and external stake holders requiring excellent communication skills that lead to building, strengthening and leveraging partnershipsThe successful candidate must bring an intellectual curiosity and drive to understand complex technical matters. They must be able to identify their audience and concisely communicate findings in a way that is understandable to individuals of varying skills and backgrounds**Responsibilities:*** Engage payments vendors for enablement of American Express front- and back-office products and tools* Analysis and consultation related to merchant payment acceptance on the American Express Merchant Network* Escalate issues to appropriate support teams to ensure timely resolution* Perform analysis reporting of case work and disruption issue incidents, impacts, gaps and trends* Build and foster relationships with business and technology partners to complete agreed goals and initiatives* Coordinate process/platform issue resolution with partner groups for identified network opportunities* Identify and build payment vendor relationships by traveling to and attending payment industry conferences* Implement and manage a proactive vendor communication strategy* Assist with the management of the Integrated Payments Providers ProgramOffer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations**Qualifications:*** 3 years' experience solving complex technical Merchant Network challenges* Experience solving Authorization and Submission process issues, network disruptions, and/or technical payment process support* Excellent Relationship Management skills with the ability to adjust communication style to fit an audience* Knowledge of Point Of Sale terminals (hardware, software and configuration) is a plus* Knowledge of the key systems and processes linked to payment networks and acquirer businesses* Knowledge of AMEX Global Merchant Service business and supporting system capabilities* Proven ability to solve complex problems and deliver in crisis situations* Results driven, comfortable with technical content, strong direct and influential leadership skills* Must be detail-oriented, organized, analytical and computer literate. Excellent MS Office skills preferred* Proactively seek opportunities for continuous process improvement* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Strong Change Management Skills: the ability to constantly adapt in an ever-changing environment* Experience using SalesForce.com case management system desired**Educational Requirement:** BS, MBA or equivalent industry experience**Location:** Virtual; Phoenix-hybrid**Qualifications**Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
