DescriptionWe're hiring a Quality Control (QC) Lab Technician for
our Baton Rouge, LA site who will report to the QC Supervisor. You
will beresponsiblefor performing laboratory work intestinga variety
of products and recording/reporting results. This position requires
the ability to work rotating shifts to include day and night shift,
as well as weekends and holidays.Responsibilities
- Performs chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific tests
using both routine and special techniques in compliance with all
safety standards
- Analyzes and processes laboratory samples
- Records results of tests, organizes data, performs basic
computations, and prepares reports and analyses using standard
procedures and guidelines
- Provide technical support to Manufacturing and R&D
organizations as needed
- Active participation in required local safety program, along
with the ability to work safely and maintain a clean and orderly
lab environment.
- Operates, maintains and repairs laboratory test equipment,
apparatus, systems and suppliesRequired Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Chemistry or other science related field
- Proficient with operation of typical computer controlled
laboratory instrumentation
- Diligent at keeping written and/or electronic records
- Some prior knowledge of chemistry
- Good work ethic and high professional standard is shown to
perform the job properly
- Familiarity with computer programs such as MS Excel, Word and
PowerPoint
- Good interpersonal skills and exceptional oral and written
communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to comply with all applicable regulatory
requirements
- Ability to work with minimum supervision along with working as
part of a teamPreferred Qualifications
