About You As theQuality System Manager,you will lead, execute, and support implementation and optimization of the quality management system and related quality work processes to profitably meet customer and product quality regulatory requirements. You will Serve as an expert resource on implementation and use of the quality management system within the quality work processes. You will provide training, coaching, and overall guidance to enhance knowledge and accountability for quality across key business roles, promoting and enabling a customer-focused culture across the business. You will work independently to ensure all aspects of the quality management system are addressed efficiently and productively across a business portfolio. You will lead strategic improvement projects or represents quality within a broader cross-functional project and has responsibility for all change management activities related to use of the quality management system across the identified scope. You will be required to have in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge of own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. This a role that will require you to have out-of-the-box thinking, strong interpersonal skill across all functions and levels, constructive gate-keeping skills, leading by influence, sound technical skills (product and technology of quality management), as well as strong corporate core competencies in collaborating for superior results, leading courageously, delivering innovative solutions and generating customer value.Also, you can complete the following tasks: Works directly with the Business Quality Leader to develop and implement global plans for the Manage Product Quality work process and the business strategy.Leads implementation and maintenance of the Business Quality Strategy and related Quality Management System and executes the external certification strategy for the business.Global and regional SME in Quality & GMP compliance requirements, programs, processes & tools to support business growth. Understands fully the implications of quality related regulatory and industry standard issues on the business and implements common, global practices that ensure compliance.Develops and conducts training and mentoring of quality professionals and other key roles cross-functionally for quality, such as product director, Manufacturing Leaders, Product Responsible Person (PRP), Tech Center, Commercial Leaders, etc. on the use of the quality management system and related work processes to meet business needs.Partners with the Quality System Architecture Manager, other Quality System Managers, work process owners, and other cross- functional stakeholders to support development of business quality work processes, to improve MET1, and appropriately develop MET2.Partners with Product EH&S to enable business execution of regulatory and industry requirements related to product quality; typically, as documented in the quality management system.Partners with Product Stewardship and Supply Chain to develop Good Distribution practices (GDP) expertise. Engages in and ensures quality system requirements are met for third party product crease customer intimacy in specific regulated markets in line with Business Strategy/ Growth InitiativesDrive in-depth understanding of all quality related product requirements/ attributes. Work with R&D, Technology Center, and analytical team members to ensure that product specifications are necessary and sufficient for plant capabilities and business success.Ensures implications of changes to specifications are reviewed to determine customer impact, the need for customer notification of change, and impact on plant capabilities including appropriate consideration of business models.Work scross functionally to ensure that product specifications align to plant capabilities, regulatory & customer requirementsSupport regional innovation projects under Industrial Specialties: ensure change management discipline -BRR, CMT/PMR process etc.Engages in business problem-solving efforts through the Corrective Action Management Process and the Root Cause Investigation Process, to effectively address customer product quality opportunities for value creation and risk mitigation.Manages the distribution of the appropriate product quality related information outside the company.Establish the quality system architecture structure for new/changed products or new locations.Develop and review customer quality agreements according the regulatory and customer requirements as well as ensuring the plant and other functions are fully aware of and capable to meet the requirements.Partners with Quality Specialists/ Managers to assure execution of the business quality audit program. Conducts audits to ensure customer needs and business quality system requirements are met, leveraging findings to drive continuous improvement and mitigate risk across the business.Ensures Business Management System meets regional regulatory requirements as GMP / Food Safety/ Halal / etc.Support qualification efforts to have potential third party producers qualified (Tolling/Purchase/Resell support for local tolling projects across Industrial Specialties)Support Regional External Manufacturing operations (new and sustain the current ones including Sadara)Coach/Support Plant Quality Managers with new projectsSupport the customer qualification of new products produced in the region.Working with the producing plant or functional SME (supply chain, TS&D, others) to ensure that both internal and external customer complaints are resolved as quickly as possible. Ensures that the corrective actions are validated as effective and that previously established plant and business quality and service related defect reduction goals are met or exceeded.Track and monitor appropriate metrics that assess the effectiveness of the business quality system to meet business and customer expectationsServes as Business Expert Partner for the quality requirements of the Operating Discipline Management System (ODMS). Leverages expertise as a Subject Matter Expert Team (SMART) member for Most Effective Technology 1 (MET 1) Operating Discipline.Required Qualifications A minimum of a bachelor''s degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking. An engineering or Chemistry degree is preferred.A minimum of five (5) of years of quality- related experience with diversified manufacturing background including quality control/quality assurance/quality systems.Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for Active Pharma Ingredients, Excipients, Cosmetics, Food Contact (FSMA or HACCP), Quality Management Systems, ISO 9001, and/or any other international quality system.Experience in a pharmaceutical/ food-regulated business.Ability to read, write, and speak English . Other Languages skills are a plus based that the candidate would work with other cultures/ countries.Must be willing and able to travel 30% of the time and meet all applicable requirements related to business travel (e.g., as to immigration and visa rules, public-health mandates, airline rules, etc.) into and out of (and physical presence in) various countries worldwide.A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
