This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to engage in a variety of projects, ranging from small-scale residential developments to large-scale commercial and public works projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of land surveying, including fieldwork, research, and preparation of survey drawings.Responsibilities:1. Conduct field surveys and oversee the work of field crews, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal and professional standards.2. Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.3. Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.4. Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.5. Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.6. Adjust surveying instruments to maintain their accuracy.7. Develop land surveying projects by researching previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for planning.8. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to improve service delivery and efficiency.9. Conduct regular meetings with clients, contractors, and team members to provide updates and gather feedback.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.2. Must hold a current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or equivalent.3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in land surveying, preferably in a consulting engineering environment.4. Profound knowledge of the principles, techniques, and legal aspects of land surveying.5. Proficiency in using modern surveying equipment, including GPS and GIS systems.6. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex legal and construction documents.7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.8. Proficient in using computer software related to land surveying, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.9. Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrains.10. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on deadlines and importance.11. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.12.
