Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Salary: $125,000.00 USD Annually - $150,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
--- - - - - - - - - The I&E Manager holds responsibility for
overseeing instrumentation and electrical design, commissioning of
new capital projects, and the modification of existing processes
across multiple facilities.
--- - - - - - - - - The I&E Manager ensures timely task
completion, appropriate technology utilization, and adherence to
company.
--- - - - - - - - - standards during the design phase. Fostering a
culture of safety within the team is a key objective.
--- - - - - - - - - This role reports to the Engineering Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Define and refine the scope of work for all
I&E staff at various sites. Assist in creating project
schedules, providing accurate timeframes for I&E-related tasks.
Develop and maintain site procedures, standards, and typical
installation details.
--- - - - - - - - - Manage the creation of equipment
specifications, instrumentation sizing, scopes of work, and
technical information for I&E construction bid packages.
Develop resource loading plans for project commissioning
activities.
--- - - - - - - - - Provide regular status updates to engineering
managers and maintain the group's key performance indicators.
--- - - - - - - - - Offer technical support to ensure project goals
are met. Participate in PHA/HAZOP and other regulatory activities
as required.
--- - - - - - - - - Lead projects with a focus on instrumentation
and electrical aspects (e.g., 15kV distribution, DCS, networking,
etc.). Familiarize with electrical classification requirements
(Class I, Class II).
--- - - - - - - - - Review electrical and instrumentation project
documents as necessary. Recruit, develop, and retain talent while
fostering a collaborative team environment.
--- - - - - - - - - Manage performance evaluations and address
potential disciplinary matters. Ensure I&E technicians,
programmers, and other team members align with department
objectives, policies, procedures, and KPIs.
--- - - - - - - - - Coordinate and establish relationships with
electricity providers to support growth targets at each site.
Cultivate and maintain connections with the parent company's
I&E and Engineering manager.
--- - - - - - - - - Stay updated on new equipment and trends
related to electrical and instrumentation.
--- - - - - - - - - Perform other assigned duties.
--- - - - - - - - - REQUIREMENTS:
--- - - - - - - - - Bachelor's degree in electrical
engineering.
--- - - - - - - - - 10-15 years of relevant experience in
electrical design.
--- - - - - - - - - Minimum of 3 years working in an RMP and PSM
environment.
--- - - - - - - - - Over five years of management experience.
--- - - - - - - - - Ability to manage both virtual and on-site team
members.
--- - - - - - - - - Strong organizational, planning, and management
skills; capable of prioritizing tasks to meet requirements and
deadlines.
--- - - - - - - - - Profound understanding of project management
techniques.
--- - - - - - - - - Above-average communication skills.
--- - - - - - - - - Familiarity with applicable codes and
standards, including NEC, ISA, NFPA, etc.
--- - - - - - - - - Practical knowledge of electro-mechanical
systems, including pneumatics, automated control systems, motor
control centers, generators, and other electrical equipment.
--- - - - - - - - - Proficiency in power distribution within
chemical plants (480v, 13.8 kV, 230 kV).
--- - - - - - - - - Excellent troubleshooting skills. Passport (or
ability to obtain one) for potential international travel (0-2x per
year).
--- - - - - - - - - Comfortable with moderate travel (30-50%).
Required to be on-site full-time in either Savannah, GA or Baton
Rouge, Louisiana.
--- - - - - - - - - Preferred QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with
Yokogawa VP or other control system troubleshooting, programming,
and networking. Familiarity with AVEVA E3D I&E or similar
software for rapid production of one-lines, loop sheets, etc. PE
License.
