The Department of Justice, Office of Attorney General Jeff
Landry, is seeking applications for aConstituent Services
Representative.Salary offered will be commensurate with the
qualifications and experience of the candidate selected.
The position will be domiciled in the Livingston Building, Baton
Rouge, Louisiana, East Baton Rouge Parish. Offers of employment are

- Must possess a valid driver's license;
- High school diploma; and,
- Two years of experience in which clerical work was a major
duty. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, college training, and/or technical school
degree/credits. The duties of the Constituent Services
Representative shall include, but are not limited to the following:
- Acts as a liaison between constituents and the office by
facilitating telephone calls, e-mails, walk-in visits,
correspondence, and referrals from other agencies and political
officials;
- Ensures office operations for customer service run smoothly on
a day-to-day basis and provides professional representation for the
entire LADOJ;
- Addresses constituent concerns through the proper LADOJ
channels, provides necessary follow up with constituent, and
communicates final resolution to constituent as appropriate;
- Follows office protocol with respect to addressing constituent
concerns in a timely and efficient manner;
- Inputs constituent service requests for information and/or
service and resolutions into the data system for recording and
tracking purposes;
- Prepares weekly constituent services report for Executive,
Administrative, and Civil Divisions.
- Participates in a regular outreach staff conference call;
- Participates in trainings as needed;
- Assists with training for new constituent services
representatives as needed;
- Maintains a good working relationship with Attorney General and
staff;
- Meets attendance requirements as established by the
office;
- Accepts performance-based criticism and directions;
- Works well under pressure and handles stress; and
- Performs other duties as assigned. The position of
ConstituentServices Representative may consist of, but are not
limited to the following:
- Professionally answers phones and greets visitors;
- Forwards phone calls to Divisions and takes messages;
- Prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence, reports, and other
materials;
- Maintain section calendars, as well as make appointments and
arrange meeting rooms;
- Other duties as may be assigned.
